    Singers have always been told they need to commit 100% to performing in order to be successful, but this is a lie. This workshop breaks down the myths and assuptions of previous generations and establishes real practices to have a dual career with flexibility and success.

    Annie Calvaneso is a business mentor, serial entrepreneur, and opera singer. Annie has guided singers in building businesses that support their artistry. Her clients typically triple or quadruple their income, often reaching $5–6k months within six months.

  • Becoming a Nervous System Virtuoso

    Do you struggle with performance anxiety? This workshop is a call for opera singers to become nervous system virtuosos—not just emotional messengers or survival machines.

    Ruby Rose Fox is an award-winning singer-songwriter, actor, author, master nervous system coach, and the founder of Muscle Music. She created the Superplay Theory and is going to share it with you!

  • Demystifying Classical Ornamentation

    This seminar will focus on 18th century Italian repertoire and will cover writing embellishments and cadenzas in vocal music. Whether you’re a beginner looking for a foundation or you already have experience writing ornaments and are interested in refining your skills with a historical perspective, this course is designed to help you show up to your next audition or gig with ornaments and cadenzas that are stylistically appropriate, tasteful, and compelling.

    Joshua Garvey (he/they), countertenor, holds a M.M. in early music from The Longy School of Music and certificate studies in vocal pedagogy from the New England Conservatory. He has studied style and ornamentation with baroque specialists such as Aaron Sheehan, Flavio-Ferri Benedetti, Jory Vinikour, Tim Ribchester, and Walewein Witten. Joshua teaches a thriving vocal studio in Berlin and sit on the vocal faculty of the children’s radio choir (MDR Kinderchor) in Leipzig.

  • Adding Authenticity to Italian Diction

    Join Dr. Matteo Dalle Fratte, Founder of Melofonetica, for an introduction to and masterclass in the renowned Melofonetica Method. Based on extensive research into the phonetics of sung Italian, the method cuts through complexities to ensure well-projected, articulate text that enhances musicality and expression. It has been featured in Opera, the world’s leading opera magazine, and endorsed by leading international singers and conductors.

    Matteo is an Italian language coach, musicologist, and tenor trained under Paolo Badoer, a student of Puccini's favorite soprano, Gilda Dalla Rizza. He has researched sung Italian phonetics since 2009, including a fellowship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) in London. In 2023, Matteo published 'The Melofonetica Method: A complete guide to clear and expressive Italian diction for singers'. He works with leading conservatoires, opera companies and record labels, and is a board member of the Fondazione Monteverdi of Cremona.

  • Conquering French & German Diction

    French got you befuddled? German got you tongue-tied? This workshop is here to help you decode and breakdown both languages so they feel approachable, even in their trickiest settings. We'll talk about flow and phrasing that will make your French fluidly fluent (yes, even when it feels like recitative). We'll talk about quickening consonants so that your German can feel legato. And we'll delve into those nuances that will make audiences question whether you're a native speaker.

    Scottish-American soprano Claire Galloway’s theatricality covers the gamut of “palpable pain” and “splendid, funny moments” (B.I.T.R.). Often mistaken for a native French speaker, Ms. Galloway is known for her innovative recital programing with a special interest in French and Nordic repertoire as well as commissioning new works for voice and chamber ensemble. Claire is faculty of lyric Romantic language diction and repertoire at the Peabody Conservatory and 2024-25 Artist in Residence at Bard College and Conservatory of Music.

  • Laryngeal & TMJ Self-Massage

    Join Christine Schneider for this workshop exploring self-massage techniques for the larynx and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) - essential tools for vocal health and resilience. This workshop is designed for professional voice users, including singers, actors, and speakers. Christine will guide you through gentle, effective self-massage techniques to release tension around the larynx and jaw, improve circulation and tissue mobility, support vocal ease and recovery, and enhance nervous system regulation to promote relaxation and adaptability in the voice.

    Christine is a leading manual therapist and biomechanics specialist for professional voice users. With over 30 years of experience in voice study and performance, she integrates anatomical expertise and full-body movement into her teaching and practice. Christine founded The Visceral Voice, where she offers private therapy, immersive workshops, and her signature Vocal Resilience Academy. Christine’s approach blends manual therapy, breathwork, and movement to support nervous system regulation, whole-body coordination, and vocal performance.

    TV, Commercial, and Movie Makeup Artist Ivey Ray brings 15+ years of industry-leading experience to CCOR! She’s helping us unlock the makeup hacks that will take you from feeling camera-shy to camera-confident!

    Ivey Ray is a professional makeup artist for TV, film, commercials, and luxury bridal clients based in NYC. Previously an associate producer for reality television (TLC, Discovery ID) Ivey switched careers to makeup artistry, certifying in Multimedia on-camera makeup in 2014. Ivey works with performers, actors, and musicians ongoing, thus offering virtual makeup lessons, group classes, skincare consultations and custom blending for clients around the New York Are and beyond.

  • Confidence With Contracts

    Contracts - every singer wants them it but what exactly are you signing up for? Join this workshop to learn basics of how contracts are constructed and what to look out for when you get asked to sign on the dotted line. Plus, key terms and basic legal protections for you and your artistic work.

    Australian stage director Greg Eldridge trained in Florence, Italy before becoming a Young Artist at the Royal Opera House in London, where he would later be appointed Jette Parker Associate Director. A Bayreuth Scholar, Greg has worked on over 80 productions at leading international houses including Teatro Scala in Milan, Teatro Real in Madrid, Covent Garden in London, and the national opera houses of Australia, Iceland, Norway, Israel, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. In America, Greg has worked at companies including LA Opera and Houston Grand Opera, and was a guest speaker at IDC’s 2025 Intimacy Professionals Summit. A former board member of Stage Directors UK, Greg has previously served as Associate Professor of Opera Directing at CCM in Ohio.

  • Maximizing Your Vocal Health

    Ever been told not to drink milk before you sing? Your teacher says you should never take ibuprofen? Let's break down all the rules we hear about vocal health and figure out what's right for you!

    Licensed voice-speech therapist and mezzo-soprano Mairin Srygley will work with you to decipher the vocal health ideas taught to opera singers, using empirical research, her clinical experience, and your personal expertise on your body. You will leave with a sustainable vocal health maintenance plan that is based on your body and your life.

  • Learn to Love Self-Tapes: On-Camera Techniques for Musicians

    Despite the need for virtual setups, many opera singers are still looking for ways to feel confident and stand out on screen during remote auditions and self-taping.

    Annie Gill is a versatile singing actor who is equally at home on the operatic stage and the Netflix studio. As an expressive full lyric soprano, Ms. Gill has conquered over thirty operatic roles, most notably Mozart’s Donna Anna and La Contessa, Puccini’s Musetta, and as Elena Firenzi in Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me A Soprano (regional premiere). Alongside pianist Andrew Stewart she released the album Songs of Love and Hope featuring the music of Dvořák, Fibich, Smetana, Kaprálová, Martinů, and Bodorová, some of which had never been previously recorded. She has an active career as a voice-over artist and actor; most notably appearing as the “Opera Singer'' in the Season 2 Finale of House of Cards (Netflix) and as Maeve in the feature film Wild Fire.
